73 years ago, on February 8, 1952, the first National Salvation Youth Union in the Army was established at Company 29, Battalion 183, Regiment 246 (Tan Trao Union), a unit protecting the Party Central Committee, protecting Uncle Ho and the General Command (now Company 9, Battalion 3, Regiment 246, Division 346, Military Region 1).

The establishment of the National Salvation Youth Union in the Army is an important historical milestone in the birth and development of the youth union work and movement in the Army.

Since then, together with other organizations in the Army, the Youth Union, the youth agency system and now the system of departments, offices (assistants) for mass (youth) work at all levels up to the Army Youth Committee have continuously developed, grown, and performed well the functions and tasks of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in the Vietnam People's Army.
