(Fatherland) - Thousands of drones created images of Lac birds, bronze drum motifs, filter coffee, bamboo trees, lotus flowers,... in the sky of Nha Trang at the final competition night of EGN 2024.
On the evening of August 3, at Vinpearl Harbor, Hon Tre Island, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, the second competition night and closing ceremony of the Nha Trang International Light Bay Festival 2024 (EGN 2024) took place.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration; Mr. Vi Kien Thanh, Director of the Cinema Department; Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh and representatives of leaders of units under the ministries, departments, central agencies, Khanh Hoa province...
In his opening speech, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, expected that the success of EGN 2024 would contribute to the success of tourism stimulus activities, affirming the tourism brand of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa,... "With the effect of spreading the image of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism through this event, Khanh Hoa province will study to continue to maintain the organization of the annual Bay of Light Festival in the coming time", Mr. Dinh Van Thieu affirmed.
The second night of the competition "Convergence of Wonders" was a competition between the French and United Arab Emirates (UAE) teams. At the beginning of the competition, the UAE team used nearly 1,000 types of super light, super bright drones combined with pyrotechnics to bring excitement to the audience.

Thousands of drones from the UAE team form the shape of a Lac bird, a symbol of strength, sacredness, and the origin of the Vietnamese people.
The closing night attracted a large number of people and tourists traveling from the mainland to Hon Tre Island to watch the performance.
In the next round, the French team used a drone to sculpt a poetic and romantic image of a World Heritage Wonder under the Nha Trang sky.
The French team used pyrotechnic drone technology to excite the audience.

At the closing ceremony of EGN 2024, the Organizing Committee awarded the Championship to the UAE team. At the same time, the Organizing Committee also awarded the Best Performance Award to the Korean team; the Best Image Award to the French team and the Best Story Award to the Chinese team.
On this occasion, representatives of the Guinness World Records Organization awarded two Guinness World Records to Khanh Hoa province, including “The world’s largest light show of wonders” and “The world’s largest light show of Vietnamese cultural symbols - Lac birds”.
