With the coordination and support of the Myanmar and United Arab Emirates (UAE) rescue forces, the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) team continues to race against time to search for earthquake victims at the Ottara Thiri private hospital in Naypyidaw, Myanmar. By nearly 1:00 p.m. on April 3 (local time), the rescue force had brought out 3 more bodies.

On the morning of April 3, the People's Army team divided their forces to conduct rescue work in two areas inside the hospital, where search dogs and equipment located three victims buried in the rubble. In one area, the rescue team had to use an excavator to break down the outer wall, then chisel out the collapsed second floor to open a path down to the first floor to reach the location where the victims were buried.

The Vietnam People's Army delegation discussed plans to approach the victims' locations with the UAE rescue force.
The search dog team continues to go to the scene to search for locations where earthquake victims are trapped.

Notably, a UAE rescue team with sniffer dogs and specialized equipment arrived to coordinate the rescue work with Vietnamese forces. Despite the hot weather and the difficult access to the area where the victims were buried, the rescue forces of the Vietnam People's Army, Myanmar, and the UAE coordinated effectively, working non-stop throughout the morning and were able to bring out all three bodies. The victims were all elderly.

UAE rescue forces brought specialized equipment to Ottara Thiri hospital to coordinate rescue operations with the team.
The engineering team of the Vietnam People's Army and the rescue forces of Myanmar and the UAE chiseled concrete to open a path to reach the location where the victims were buried.

Also on April 3, the Vietnamese delegation continued to deploy a medical team to set up tents at the Ottara Thiri private hospital to examine and provide medicine to local people. In addition, the delegation also sent a team to assess the situation and search for locations where rescue operations should be carried out in the capital Naypyidaw.

The medical team examined and provided medicine to local people.
Continue to scout the scene and search for other locations suspected of containing victims.
