On November 15, leaders of Dong Nai Department of Transport, Department of Construction... and many other units in the province had a working session with leaders of Fecon Joint Stock Company and its partner Shanghai Tunnel Engineering Co.STEC on cooperation in implementing underground traffic infrastructure projects in Dong Nai province.

At the meeting, a representative of Fecon Joint Stock Company said that the company and its partners are capable and experienced units in constructing infrastructure projects and underground projects such as bridges and river tunnels.

In particular, Fecon and its partners proposed the idea of ​​building a tunnel across the Dong Nai River instead of building a bridge for the Cat Lai bridge project connecting Dong Nai province and Ho Chi Minh City.

According to this unit, building a tunnel across the river will limit difficulties and obstacles in site clearance. Thereby, minimizing social impacts on residential areas living in the project planning area.

After listening to the company's report and sharing, the leaders of Dong Nai Department of Transport and other units said that in the coming time, Dong Nai will be a large construction site with many infrastructures, industrial parks and transportation systems being deployed.

Therefore, this will be a good condition for businesses to research and participate in bidding to implement projects to ensure progress and quality.

With the idea of ​​proposing to build a tunnel under Dong Nai River instead of building a bridge for the Cat Lai Bridge project, representatives of departments and branches requested the company to conduct further research and report a specific plan to the Provincial People's Committee. At the same time, they also requested the unit to proactively work with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to reach an agreement.
