On August 7, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province announced that it is investing in and developing urban public green trees in the province for the 2024-2025 period and orientation to 2030.

This plan comes from the fact that Binh Dinh province wants to form a number of thematic parks and landscape parks in urban areas in the area, especially large urban areas such as Quy Nhon city, An Nhon town and Hoai Nhon town.

The total cost of implementing this plan until 2030 is over VND902 billion. Of which, the 2024-2025 period is over VND315 billion, and the 2026-2030 period is nearly VND587 billion.

The goal by 2030 is that the green tree system in major cities in Binh Dinh province will be invested and developed with its own identity and characteristics to meet the entertainment needs of residents and tourists.

According to the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, in the period of 2024-2025, the area of ​​urban green land that needs to be invested and developed will increase by 2025 in the whole province by more than 202 hectares (of which, the area of ​​green land for public use is more than 169 hectares; the area of ​​limited and specialized green land is more than 33 hectares).

In the period 2026-2030, the area of ​​urban green land that needs to be invested and developed in the area is more than 312 hectares.

To soon complete the goal, Binh Dinh province requires departments, branches and localities to coordinate and integrate with the program of planting 1 billion trees in the period of 2021-2025; launch a movement for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the entire political system to voluntarily support and participate in planting street trees.

According to the request of Binh Dinh province, each agency and unit needs to register to plant at least 100m2 of street trees (equivalent to about 10 trees) every year...
