With the theme “Reading Culture - Connecting the Community”, this year’s festival is not only a meeting place for book lovers but also a creative space and interesting experiences for people and tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City, said that the 4th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day in 2025 brings three messages: Reading culture - Connecting the community; Entering the era of national growth with books; Reading books - enriching knowledge, nurturing aspirations, promoting innovation and creativity.

Many publishers and book distributors have actively participated, bringing new vitality to spreading reading culture.

To bring books closer to readers and to spread knowledge, the city's culture and sports sector recommends that Party committees, authorities, departments, branches, schools, press agencies, publishers and book distribution establishments continue to promote propaganda and education work, raising awareness in the political system and the whole society about the position, meaning and importance of books and reading culture.

Reading Culture Festival 2025 with outstanding activities including: exhibition of books, pictures, precious documents about the 50-year development of Da Nang, 95 years of founding the City Party Committee and 50 years of liberating the South and reunifying the country.

Many rare documents were introduced to the public for the first time, such as: Tiếng Dân Newspaper, Han Nom documents, and ancient royal decrees.

In addition, the festival also organizes many experiential activities: STEM Robotics, STEM Fun Science, author-work exchange, story telling contest based on books, art book arrangement contest, character cosplay, book quiz-movement games, Bui Giang poetry night, Trinh music, cultural exchange...

In particular, people are also given free library cards, library utility advice and support for the movement to support books for schools and community learning centers.

At the program, the City General Science Library donated 3 community bookcases to schools in the city; in addition, publishing and book distribution units also donated many community bookcases to the City General Science Library.

The event takes place from April 20 to 27.

On the same afternoon, the University of Foreign Languages ​​- University of Danang held the opening ceremony of “Book Week 2025” with the theme: “Reading Culture - Connecting the Community”. The event attracted a large number of students to participate in the Lifelong Learning Talkshow; Training in reading copyrighted books on digital platforms.
