It was here that the two founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin rented a small corner to start building the Google search engine. As Google's 16th employee, she witnessed the company's growth from its difficult early days.

In 2006, seeing the huge potential of YouTube, Susan Wojcicki decided to buy this video sharing platform and make it a part of Google. Under her leadership, YouTube has grown exponentially, becoming one of the largest social media platforms in the world, with billions of users every day.

Susan Wojcicki has always been admired for her determination, vision and outstanding leadership. She has proven to the world that women can absolutely succeed in a field that is considered a male domain. Her career has inspired millions of young women around the world, inspiring them to believe in their own abilities.

“Deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Susan Wojcicki after a two-year battle with cancer. She was a core part of Google’s history and it’s hard to imagine the world without her,” Google CEO Sundar Pichai wrote on X.
