(LĐ online) - Continuing the meeting with voters before the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly, on the afternoon of April 10, Group 2 of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province, including delegates: Lam Van Doan - Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society; K' Nhieu - Member of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, had a meeting in Hoa Ninh commune, Di Linh district.

National Assembly deputies meet voters in Hoa Ninh commune

Attending the meeting with voters were leaders of departments, agencies and branches of Lam Dong province. On the side of Di Linh district, there were comrades: K'Broi - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee; Nguyen The Hoc - Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee; Ho Sy Huy - Chairman of the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; along with leaders of departments, agencies and unions of Di Linh district, Hoa Ninh commune and a large number of local voters.

On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province, delegate K' Nhieu reported to voters the results of the 9th Extraordinary Session; the main contents of the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly; an overview of the socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2025 of the whole country and of Lam Dong province, as well as the work of preventing and combating corruption in the first quarter of 2025 of the province.

After 6.5 working days (from February 12 to the morning of February 19, 2025) with a spirit of urgency, seriousness, democracy and high responsibility, the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly completed the entire proposed program.

In order to promote the country's socio-economic development; investment policies, mechanisms, special, urgent, necessary policies for a number of important projects and works; to reorganize the state apparatus and decide on personnel work within its authority, the National Assembly has considered and passed 4 laws and 12 resolutions.

The 9th session of the 15th National Assembly is expected to be divided into 2 phases: Phase 1: From May 5 to May 28, 2025; Phase 2: From June 11 to the morning of June 28, 2025. This is a session with many important contents related to socio-economics, national defense - security, and building the country's political system. In particular, the session will consider amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution and amending laws related to amending the Constitution to serve the streamlining of the apparatus in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee.

Overviewing the socio-economic situation in the first quarter of 2025 of Lam Dong province, delegate K' Nhieu informed that, up to now, the total state budget revenue is estimated at 4,000 billion VND, equal to 29.3% of the central budget estimate, equal to 27.6% of the local budget estimate, equal to 101.5% over the same period. Tourists to Lam Dong are estimated at 2,620 thousand arrivals, up 10.1% over the same period. Total export turnover reached 289.37 million USD, reaching 26.31% of the plan, up 30.27% over the same period. There are 292 newly registered enterprises with a total registered capital of 2,583.5 billion VND, up 6.6% in the number of enterprises and up 94.5% in registered capital over the same period.

In the first quarter, the whole province had 1 forest fire causing insignificant damage to forest resources, 16 forestry violations were detected, a decrease of 11 cases (41%), the area of ​​damaged forest products was 3.28 ha, an increase of 1.13 ha (53%), the volume of damaged forest products was 342.2 m3, an increase of 277.5 m3 (429%) over the same period.

Voters of Hoa Ninh commune give their opinions at the meeting

Up to now, Lam Dong has had 4 projects that have completed procedures and implemented construction investment activities, namely: Dong Thanh Reservoir Project, Kazam Reservoir Project, Project to Build Da Lat City into a Smart City and National Highway 28B Project.

On January 31, 2025, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee approved the Bao Loc - Lien Khuong Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1, under the public-private partnership (PPP) form.

Many recommendations from voters sent to National Assembly deputies

Regarding the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, in the first quarter, 237 houses were eliminated, and to date, 1,234/1,972 houses have been eliminated, reaching 62.6%. From December 15, 2024 to February 14, 2025, the whole province had 78 traffic accidents (a decrease of 70 cases, 47.3%), killing 35 people (a decrease of 20 people, 36.4%), injuring 60 people (a decrease of 66 people, 52.4%).

Direct the organization of the conference to announce the decision to end the activities of the district and city police and hand over the records, documents and assets to the provincial police on time and on schedule according to regulations; immediately deploy assigned work and perform tasks to ensure smooth operations, without interruption of tasks in each field, area as well as of the entire provincial police force.

Voters propose some contents related to the work of reorganizing the apparatus

Implementing Conclusion No. 121 of the Central Executive Committee on summarizing Resolution No. 18 on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus, Lam Dong province has merged the Propaganda Department and the Mass Mobilization Department at the provincial and district levels; decided to end the activities of the Party delegations, the Party Executive Committee at the provincial level, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, the Party Committee of the Provincial Enterprises Bloc; established the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee directly under the Provincial Party Committee.

The Provincial People's Council passed a resolution to establish 6 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee. After the reorganization, specialized agencies under the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee reduced 23 departments and branches.

During the inspection, Lam Dong province conducted 46 administrative inspections and 32 specialized inspections and checks. Through administrative inspections, violations were discovered with a total amount of more than 10.37 billion VND.

The whole province has received 542 visits with 637 people received, 554 cases; received 6 large delegations with 57 people. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee strictly implemented the responsibility of the head in receiving citizens with 1 session/22 cases/22 visits of citizens coming to complain, denounce, make recommendations, and reflect. Piloted 2 regular citizen reception sessions of the Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Hoa Ninh commune leaders receive and explain voters' recommendations

The total number of complaints and denunciations arising under the authority during the period was 154, down 21.8% compared to the same period in 2024 (186 complaints). By the time of reporting, the province had resolved 98/154 complaints and denunciations (reaching a rate of 62.4%).

The total number of petitions and complaints under the authority to resolve is 1,021 cases, up to the time of reporting, 655/1,021 cases have been resolved, reaching 64.2%.

During the period, 3 corruption cases were discovered through investigation and are currently being handled according to regulations; 26 cases related to corruption from the previous year were transferred and are being handled according to regulations.

At the meetings, voters of Hoa Ninh commune expressed their joy at the results of the country's socio-economic development. Voters trust the leadership and direction of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government and Lam Dong province in the process of building and developing their homeland and the country. At the same time, they highly appreciated the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the provincial National Assembly Delegation; through which the delegates have promoted their roles and responsibilities as elected representatives.

With a frank and democratic spirit, voters of Hoa Ninh commune raised a number of recommendations such as whether the budget for new rural construction in the coming time will be affected if all resources are concentrated to build the highway; degraded roads need investment and repair to facilitate people's travel, trade, etc.

National Assembly delegation presents gifts to policy families and meritorious people

Regarding the arrangement of administrative units, voters expressed their high agreement with the policy of rearranging the political apparatus and emphasized that this is a very correct action to meet the country's development in the new period.

Voters shared some thoughts and aspirations related to the regime, policies, jobs and income for cadres and civil servants after the rearrangement; in which, the competent authority needs to carefully select and arrange suitable and effective cadres to utilize and promote the capacity of cadres and civil servants to contribute to the development of the locality. In addition, the expansion of regional space will facilitate economic and social development; however, will the large area and compact workforce affect management and operation work or not?

On behalf of the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province, National Assembly Delegate Lam Van Doan received and acknowledged the opinions and recommendations of voters and people of Hoa Ninh commune in particular and Di Linh district in general. National Assembly Delegate Lam Van Doan also affirmed that most of the opinions and recommendations of voters of Hoa Ninh commune showed a high level of generality and demonstrated the responsibility of voters and people for the development of the province and the country.

He emphasized: The revolution of streamlining the apparatus of the political system is a major policy of the Party and the State. Together with the whole country, the work of streamlining the apparatus is being carried out urgently and resolutely by Lam Dong province, creating consensus among civil servants, public employees and the people. For that reason, he hopes that local voters will continue to pay attention and follow closely to join the whole country in entering a new era, an era of national growth.
