On the afternoon of April 29, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Bac Lieu province organized a scientific conference with the theme "Bac Lieu Literature and Arts 50 years after the country's reunification - Issues and development orientations" and a ceremony to honor outstanding and outstanding literary and artistic works of Bac Lieu province in the period 1975 - 2025.

The event was attended by representatives of provincial departments, agencies, and branches, speakers, cultural researchers, journalists, many artists inside and outside the province, and members of the Provincial Union of Cultural and Arts Associations.

The workshop listened to many profound and multi-dimensional presentations, focusing on the key issues of Bac Lieu's culture and arts over the past half century: The role and contributions of Bac Lieu's culture and arts after the country's reunification; The role of former Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee - Vo Van Dung in the cause of promoting cultural development as a driving force for culture and arts development in Bac Lieu; 50 years of Minh Hai Literature and Arts Magazine, Bac Lieu Literature and Arts; Bac Lieu Photography 50 years of formation and development; Bac Lieu's cultural identity in Phan Trung Nghia's prose; Culture is the source of nutrition for literature and arts; From the dawn of Bac Lieu's amateur music movement to the role of Don ca tai tu in tourism today; Minh Hai province's culture and arts (Bac Lieu, Ca Mau) 50 years looking back...

The presentations outlined a panoramic picture of the development, achievements, limitations and issues facing Bac Lieu's culture and arts, while suggesting important directions for the future.

Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee held a ceremony to honor outstanding and outstanding literary and artistic works of Bac Lieu province in the period 1975 - 2025. Based on the decision of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the voting results of the Council, 15 outstanding and outstanding literary and artistic works in the past 50 years were honored and awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee - (photo). This is a worthy recognition for the tireless and dedicated contributions of generations of Bac Lieu artists.

The workshop and the Commendation Ceremony are meaningful and practical activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, affirming the important role of culture and arts in social life and the overall development of Bac Lieu province.

* Up to now, Bac Lieu has had Photographer Vo An Khanh awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Literature and Arts, Artists Tran Binh Khuol and Lam Hoang Thanh Liem awarded the State Prize for Literature and Arts, 45 individuals awarded the Cao Van Lau Prize for Literature and Arts by the province, 8 Meritorious Artists and 26 Meritorious Artisans.
