Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry revenue reached 7,138 billion VND in just 5 days of April 30 - May 1 holiday

During the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1, tourist attractions and accommodation facilities in Ho Chi Minh City welcomed millions of visitors, with revenue reaching VND7,138 billion, 2.2 times higher than last year's holiday.

According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, during the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1 alone, visitors to tourist and entertainment areas in Ho Chi Minh City are estimated at about 1.95 million, more than double the same period in 2024.

International visitors to Ho Chi Minh City during the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1 are estimated at about 120,000, 2.2 times higher than the same period in 2024.

Also during this period, the number of guests staying at accommodation establishments is estimated at 867,000, an increase of 4.3 times compared to the same period in 2024. Room occupancy is estimated at about 95%, an increase of 26.7% over the same period.

During the 5-day holiday from April 30 to May 1 alone, Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry revenue is estimated at 7,138 billion VND.

The parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day attracted millions of people and tourists.

The reason for the high number of visitors during the April 30-May 1 holiday this year is because it coincides with the April 30th Great Festival, specifically the military parade and parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also added that from April 20 to May 4, or 15 days, visitors to tourist attractions, entertainment areas... were estimated at 2.7 million; international visitors to Ho Chi Minh City were estimated at 355,000. Revenue was estimated at 15,707 billion VND.

Previously, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, room occupancy rates at 1- to 5-star hotels in the city center reached 95-100%, while many 4- to 5-star hotels had no more available rooms during peak days from April 27 to May 1.
