Experienced billionaire grows specialty trees that produce delicious fruit

Mr. Bui Van Hoa said that since he was young, he has been attached to gardens and fruit trees. In the early years of his career, he only owned a few acres of land growing longan.

Realizing the increasing market demand for specialty longans such as yellow rice boat longans and Bao Cong longans, he boldly expanded the longan growing area to 4 hectares.

He applies scientific and technical advances in growing specialty longan, care, and pest control for fruit trees, including longan trees.

Thanks to that, Mr. Hoa's family's specialty longan garden has achieved high productivity, earning an average of 1 billion VND each year.

Not stopping at longan trees, he also invested 0.5 hectares to grow orchids and ornamental plants of all kinds.

Mr. Hoa's orchid and ornamental plant garden not only brings in revenue of 1 billion VND/year, but also becomes a favorite tourist destination and learning place for many customers, members, and farmers who love ornamental plants in and outside the province.

Along with farming, he also develops the profession of raising lizards, with a stable income of 25 million VND/year.

In addition, Mr. Hoa also expanded into the field of restoring and trading wooden houses - the traditional profession that his family pursues. Each year, the wooden house business brings in about 1.5 billion VND for the family.

Combining all sources of income, each year his family earns about 3.5 billion VND in revenue, after deducting expenses, net profit is over 1.6 billion VND.

Average income per capita in the family is about 400 million VND/year, contributing to creating a prosperous and comfortable life.

Vocational training for local young workers

Sharing about the achievements, Mr. Bui Van Hoa said: "The most important thing is to constantly learn, update new techniques, boldly invest and diversify production models to avoid risks. In addition, we need to unite and be ready to support each other to develop together."

Mr. Hoa actively participates in training courses on fruit tree growing techniques, high technology applications, and combining agriculture with eco-tourism.

Mr. Hoa himself has taught many classes to share experiences in growing longan, caring for bonsai, and pruning ornamental plants for farmers.

With his constant efforts, for many consecutive years, he was awarded the title of "Excellent Farmer - Businessman" at the district and provincial levels.

Currently, Mr. Hoa is expanding the area of ​​high-quality specialty longan cultivation, investing in more rare ornamental plants (rare ornamental plants) and building an ecological agricultural experience area to serve tourists.

Mr. Hoa hopes that his model will not only enrich his family but also contribute to changing the face of the countryside, motivating many young farmers to boldly start their own businesses.

Mr. Huynh Cong Thanh, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Phuoc Hoi Commune, Long Dat District, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province said: Not only enriching himself, Mr. Bui Van Hoa also actively supports the community.

Every year, Mr. Hoa's farm and carpentry production, restoration and wooden house business create stable jobs for 25-30 local workers, with an average income of 8 million VND/person/month.

In addition, Mr. Hoa also used his profits to support production capital for 4 member households, farmers in difficult circumstances, helping them to escape poverty. He enthusiastically shared his experience and techniques for growing specialty longan, new varieties of longan, and high-quality longan with 36 farming households. At the same time, Mr. Hoa himself trained 5 young workers in carpentry, contributing to building a quality rural human resource.

In addition, Mr. Hoa regularly participates in charitable activities such as contributing to education promotion funds and supporting the poor. Every year, his family gives 50 gifts to poor farmers on the occasion of National Great Unity Day.
