The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a document on creating conditions for children of officials and civil servants who change their place of residence due to the arrangement of administrative units in the city.
Based on the decisions and announcements of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the conclusion of Vice Chairman Bui Minh Thanh at the meeting to listen to the report on the arrangement of staff working at the Centralized Administrative Center - Facility 2 ( Binh Duong area), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has issued instructions related to supporting students transferring schools.
Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City requested heads of units to pay attention and create favorable conditions for children of officials and civil servants who change their place of residence according to their workplace to enroll in schools in the new area, ensuring that no child's studies are interrupted.
The records and procedures for transferring schools are implemented according to Instruction No. 555 of the Department of Education and Training on the process of transferring schools, re-applying for study, and reserving study results of high school students from the 2025-2026 school year.
After the administrative boundary rearrangement, Ho Chi Minh City was merged from three previous localities including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong province and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City has become an educational super city with more than 2.5 million students and more than 3,500 educational institutions.
