For the past 4 months, news and images of training sessions, joint exercises and 4 combined trainings of the military forces in the mass media and on social networks have aroused the interest of many people at home and abroad. This preliminary rehearsal was the first time held at Ba Dinh Square, in the heart of the capital.
This was the first time people could witness with their own eyes the heroic marching of soldiers and the majestic marching of troops in formation.
There will be 6 forces participating in the parade, including: traditional torch and fire guard; ceremonial artillery; air force salute; parade (including 4 ceremonial units; 43 units representing the people's armed forces, of which 26 units are undertaken by the Army, 17 units are undertaken by the Ministry of Public Security ); background forces, including the ceremonial guard, 11 army units and 7 police units and forces forming shapes and letters.

On the evening of August 20, despite the rain, around Ba Dinh Square there were still many groups of people wearing raincoats and holding umbrellas to admire the newly renovated large space.
From the afternoon of August 21, on the streets of Hanoi , along the roads leading to Ba Dinh Square, many people stood waiting to admire the vivid images and real sounds of the parade. Many people wore T-shirts with five-pointed stars printed on them, holding red flags with yellow stars, the national flag symbolizing glory and victory.

The marching block was absorbed in practice.

Many "old soldiers with silver hair" in neat uniforms, with ranks, badges, medals and insignia sparkling on their shoulders and chests as proof of the years of marching to fight the enemy, their faces filled with joy and satisfaction, mixed in with the crowd of young people and teenagers, evoking the image of passing on and continuing the tradition of fighting to defend the country.

Families with houses on the street were preparing to clean up so they could best observe the activities taking place on the street, where the parade and marching procession passed by. Many families even invited friends, relatives, and comrades to come and “watch the parade” together, sharing the joy with each other.
