Bo De posted a signboard for the project of Renovation and Upgrade of Gia Thuy Secondary School, welcoming the 1st Congress of the Ward Party Committee.

Reporting on the project implementation process at the ceremony, comrade Le Thanh Xuan - Vice Chairman of Bo De Ward People's Committee emphasized: Before the renovation, Gia Thuy Secondary School's facilities were seriously degraded, blocks A, B, the principal's house and the multi-purpose house were built a long time ago, the structure is not uniform, many items are damaged, not ensuring safety. The classroom space is narrow, lacking functional rooms; the playground is small, easily flooded when it rains; outdated teaching equipment directly affects the quality of teaching and learning.

Based on that urgent need, on October 4, 2023, the People's Committee of Long Bien District approved the School Renovation and Upgrade Project with the goal of building Gia Thuy Secondary School to meet national standards level 2, with synchronous facilities and equipment. The project has an area of ​​9,895 m², a total investment of 99 billion VND, with many important items: Demolition and construction of new blocks A, B, and the principal's office; Construction of block C including 4 floors above ground, 1 basement, expansion of classrooms and functional rooms; Raising the gym from 1 to 2 floors, arranging an additional dining room and kitchen; Synchronous construction of auxiliary infrastructure: guard house, playground, parking lot, drainage system, lighting, fire protection, trees, school gate, flower garden, etc.

Despite many difficulties in weather, narrow construction site, urgent progress, but with the close direction of the Party Committee, the Ward People's Committee, the close coordination of the Project Management Board, construction and supervision units, and the consensus of the people, the project was completed on schedule, ensuring quality.

On behalf of the ward leaders, comrade Le Thanh Xuan praised the sense of responsibility and efforts of the units, and at the same time requested the School to continue to promote the effectiveness of the project: raise awareness of preserving public assets, build a green - clean - beautiful - civilized - happy learning environment; manage and exploit the project safely and effectively, serving the education cause in the area well.

Speaking at the ceremony, Teacher Nguyen Thi My Linh - Principal of Gia Thuy Secondary School expressed her joy and emotion when the school was given a new, spacious and modern look. This is a great source of encouragement for teachers and students of the school to feel secure in teaching and studying, affirming the determination to improve the quality of education, striving to become a bright spot in the emulation movement "Good Teaching - Good Learning" of Bo De ward and the City.

Immediately after the speeches, the Organizing Committee announced and awarded the Decision to recognize the project "Renovation and upgrading of Gia Thuy Secondary School" as a project to welcome the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of Bo De Ward, term 2025-2030 and to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. At the same time, many collectives and individuals with achievements in the implementation of the Project were commended and rewarded. In the warm applause, the leaders and delegates performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony, installed the project sign and visited the School's facilities.

The ceremony of attaching the nameplate of Gia Thuy Secondary School is not only an important milestone for the educational career of Bo De ward but also has profound political significance, contributing practically to welcoming the 1st Ward Party Congress and commemorating the 80th anniversary of important events of the nation.
