Accordingly, Can Tho City People's Committee and Viettel Group agreed on the contents of digital transformation cooperation in the period of 2025-2030, such as: developing information technology and telecommunications infrastructure to meet the comprehensive digital transformation requirements of Can Tho City, ensuring synchronization, modernity and using the latest technologies; cooperating in building and digital transformation for local governments at 2 levels.

In addition, the two sides also agreed to cooperate in researching and introducing solutions in building a comprehensive database for the whole city, expanding specialized databases; cooperate in building and implementing solutions for developing the digital economy ; digital society; building and implementing information security solutions and core technologies...

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Lau, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, highly appreciated the contributions of Viettel Group to the three localities of Can Tho, Hau Giang, Soc Trang before and now Can Tho City after the merger. Typical fields are digital infrastructure, e-government; fiber optic cable system, 4G - 5G network; network information security; urban management, resources, environment, education, health, etc.

In addition to the cooperation agreement, the Chairman of the Can Tho City People's Committee requested Viettel Group to study and support the city in building a logistics center for the Mekong Delta region in Can Tho; a high-tech park; a shared data center for the city, etc.
