At the same time, they have implemented optimal exploitation plans, increased the seat utilization coefficient on flights, increased aircraft operating time, shortened aircraft turnaround time, etc.

The Railway sector will increase the number of trains from Hanoi to Da Nang, Dong Hoi, Hai Phong, Lao Cai and vice versa; from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Quy Nhon. The Railway sector will adjust the increase from 2% to 4% compared to 2024, while simultaneously applying many promotional programs to reduce ticket prices for many groups of customers, including a 40% reduction in ticket prices for groups such as war invalids, sick soldiers, beneficiaries of policies such as war invalids, veterans and relatives of meritorious people.

Inland ports have increased the number of trips to Cu Lao Cham, Ly Son, Con Dao, Phu Quy, Phu Quoc islands... to serve tourists and locals during the holidays. Especially during the holidays, Quang Ninh welcomed the first group of nearly 1,700 Japanese tourists to Ha Long by super yacht.

Also according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, during this year's holiday, most key tourist destinations across the country recorded positive signals with a high increase in the number of visitors compared to the same period in 2024.

Due to the long break and hot weather, most tourists choose beach destinations such as: Ha Long (Quang Ninh), Sam Son (Thanh Hoa), (Cua Lo) Nghe An, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Nha Trang, Binh Thuan, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Kien Giang..., or have fun and experience at cultural, ecological and resort tourism areas and spots close to major cities.

In particular, tourists from provinces and cities came to Ho Chi Minh City to join in a series of special events in the last days of historic April. With the spirit of "Proud of 50 years - Radiant City named after Uncle Ho", Ho Chi Minh City has truly left a strong impression in the hearts of people and tourists, creating a spread of national pride of the Vietnamese people, bringing visitors impressive experiences in the great festival of the nation.

According to the assessment of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the results achieved are thanks to the timely attention and direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the preparation work to serve tourists during the Victory Day holiday of April 30 and International Labor Day of May 1, 2025 has been carried out early; most localities and enterprises have proactively developed and implemented measures to ensure security and safety of tourism activities, food hygiene and safety, and to prevent unfortunate accidents and incidents. Some destinations that welcome many tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holidays include: Sa Pa (Lao Cai); Ha Long (Quang Ninh); Cat Ba (Hai Phong); Sam Son (Thanh Hoa), Cua Lo (Nghe An)... in the Northern region. This year's holiday season saw a trend of more visitors coming to the Southern region than usual due to the 50th anniversary of national reunification, especially during the first two days of the holiday. Instead of choosing overseas tours like every year, many tourists have prioritized the "return to the source" journey with historical imprints to feel the atmosphere of gratitude, remembrance and relive the heroic memories of the nation on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Even before and during the holiday, destinations such as Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Vietnam Military Museum (Hanoi), ATK Tan Trao (Tuyen Quang), Dien Bien Phu battlefield (Dien Bien), Quang Tri Citadel (Quang Tri), Independence Palace, War Remnants Museum, Cu Chi Tunnels (Ho Chi Minh City) and especially Ho Chi Minh City - where a series of activities and events celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification took place - attracted a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

The 5-day holiday (from April 30 to May 4, 2025) along with many programs, events, activities, and festivals organized simultaneously by localities and businesses, most destinations have welcomed more visitors, longer stays, and higher revenue compared to the same period in 2024. Notably, the number of international visitors still has good growth momentum even though the peak season has passed. Room rates and tourism services have not fluctuated much.

Security, order, environmental sanitation, and food safety at the destinations were ensured. After the parade, local people and tourists joined hands to clean up some streets in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing a clean and civilized image of Vietnam, creating a good impression in the hearts of international visitors attending this important celebration.

The proactive preparation and organization of many large-scale cultural events, festivals, sports, art performances, etc. in localities and tourist centers, especially with the support of businesses, has created many new tourism products, promoting the demand for entertainment, sightseeing, and relaxation during the upcoming holidays and summer tourism peak of 2025. Many tourist areas and spots have decorated red flags with yellow stars, organized activities associated with the 50th anniversary of national reunification, creating an impressive scene that attracts tourists, bringing visitors a meaningful April 30-May 1 holiday.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the growth in the number of visitors and the safe and quality tourism activities during the April 30 and May 1 holidays in 2025 is the result of a combination of many factors: The long holiday has created opportunities for people to plan their travel; The event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) has created a strong attraction, especially at destinations in the South; Improved transport infrastructure has made it easier for tourists to travel; Localities and businesses have constantly innovated products and improved the quality of tourism services to meet the diverse needs of tourists; Management work has been focused on by localities from early on and from afar, contributing to improving the tourist experience...
