Participating in the tournament are 10 Lion Dance troupes from Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Dong Thap and 1 Lion Dance troupe from Dong Hung City, China.

This is the second consecutive year that Ha Long City has organized the Lion Dance Festival on an expanded scale, attracting dozens of delegations to participate. The teams will compete in exciting and dramatic competitions with 7 unique competitions including: Nine-section dragon, Lion on the ground, Lion on the mai hoa thung,... along with individual and team pole climbing competitions.

The 2nd Ha Long Lion and Dragon Dance Festival in 2025 will take place from April 30 to May 2, 2025. The program promises to bring people and tourists unique and interesting experiences with attractive competitions and performances.
