On the morning of April 30, the People's Committee of Ly Son district organized the traditional four sacred animals boat racing festival. The activity was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and International Labor Day, May 1. Thousands of people and tourists had the opportunity to admire the exciting and thrilling boat racing performances, imbued with the unique traditional cultural imprint of Ly Son island district, which has been preserved for hundreds of years.

Vice Chairman of Ly Son District People's Committee Ngo Dinh Man said that the Tu Linh traditional boat racing festival of Ly Son district has been recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. This is not only a traditional sport of the islanders, but also a typical tourism product of Ly Son. The festival aims to preserve and promote the traditional cultural identity of Ly Son district. At the same time, through the event, it contributes to promoting, introducing and promoting the image of Ly Son to people and domestic and foreign tourists on the occasion of April 30 and May 1; promoting tourism development on the island district.
