On the afternoon of May 3, trains carrying parade and marching forces returning to their units after completing their mission at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification arrived at Hanoi station.
In order to share joy and express gratitude to the parade soldiers, from early morning, many people, relatives, students, youth and representatives of departments and branches were present at Hanoi station to welcome the delegation as a sincere thank you to the soldiers.
Returning from the grand celebration in Ho Chi Minh City, the parade participants of the Army's Ceremonial Corps and the Air Defense - Air Force on train SE64 were welcomed with joy by their comrades, relatives and the people. Many people brought fresh flowers, banners and national flags, creating a beautiful and touching image.
Lieutenant General Truong Thien To - Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Head of the delegation - talked and shook hands with the people and officers of the units participating in the welcoming ceremony for the working delegation.
Previously, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To departed from Bien Hoa station, following the North-South railway line, with stops at Dieu Tri, Da Nang and Vinh stations before arriving at Hanoi station at noon on May 3.
The soldiers smiled brightly after a journey of more than 1,600km, and exchanged warm handshakes, showing the love between the army and the people, on the day the delegation returned to their units.
Over the past time, the soldiers have had long days of training and high-intensity marching and marching, regardless of day or night, to excellently complete their missions.
Returning in the same direction at 2:50 p.m. on train number SE66 were also forces of the Special Forces and the Armored Corps.

Along with the joy of returning home are the uncontrollable emotions of meeting family and relatives again.
Lieutenant Pham Hoang Hai (24 years old) of the Army felt extremely emotional when he met his lover Phuong Thao again after more than a month apart.
"In Ho Chi Minh City, I was warmly and generously welcomed by the people. Returning to Hanoi, I am even more honored and proud to have completed the mission of the 50th anniversary celebration and am always ready for the next missions," said soldier Hai.
Soldiers loaded military equipment onto vehicles before leaving the assembly area to return to their units.
Lieutenant Do Duc Dinh (front row, second from left) - Platoon Leader, Special Forces Brigade 113, Special Forces Corps - said he felt very happy to receive a warm welcome from the people when he got off at Hanoi station.
"As a soldier, I am very proud and honored to have successfully completed my mission at the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. The heroic memories of the celebration will live forever in me," soldier Dinh excitedly shared.
