An Lang is the resting place of three kings of the Nguyen Dynasty, including Duc Duc, Thanh Thai and Duy Tan, located on Duy Tan Street, An Cuu Ward, Hue City, covering nearly 6 hectares.
The mausoleum was built by King Thanh Thai in 1899 to worship his father, King Duc Duc.
In 1954, King Thanh Thai passed away and was brought back to An Lang to be buried with his father, King Duc Duc.
King Duy Tan died in 1945, in a plane crash in France. In 1987, his remains were brought from France to Vietnam and buried in An Lang with his father (King Thanh Thai) and grandfather (King Duc Duc).
After more than a hundred years of existence, An Lang relic - the burial place of the remains of three kings of the Nguyen Dynasty, King Duc Duc, King Thanh Thai and King Duy Tan - has been severely damaged and is at risk of being abandoned.
In 2018, Hue City authorities started the restoration of the Three Kings' Tomb - An Lang at a cost of 40 billion VND.
The restoration project of the three kings' tombs will complete the main items from the beginning of 2023.
After 6 years of restoration, An Lang - the tomb of three Nguyen Dynasty kings in Hue City will open to tourists from August 1, 2024.
The works in An Lang that were restored this time include Long An Palace - the place to worship the three kings of the Nguyen Dynasty and the tomb of King Duc Duc.
Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, said that right after the inauguration ceremony of An Lang on the morning of August 1, 2024, the monument began to open to visitors for free in the beginning.
According to the Center, opening to visitors contributes to spreading the value of relics and developing local tourism.

Long An Palace in the center of the mausoleum area is a structure built according to the model of the palaces in Hue. Inside Long An Palace, there are 3 altars, worshiping the tablets of the Nguyen Dynasty kings: Duc Duc and his wife, King Thanh Thai and Duy Tan.
The mausoleum is called An Lang (Hue City), where the remains of three kings of the Nguyen Dynasty are buried: King Duc Duc, King Thanh Thai, and King Duy Tan.
King Duc Duc's tomb is in An Lan (Hue City). King Duc Duc was the father of King Thanh Thai, King Thanh Thai was the father of King Duy Tan, the relationship between King Duy Tan and King Duc Duc was grandfather-grandson.
