>> Suoi Giang Shan Tuyet Tea Festival 2024 kicks off with many exciting activities

The program opened with special performances by mass art troupes, introducing the traditional beauty of the Mong ethnic group.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the leader of Suoi Giang commune emphasized the significance of the Shan Tuyet Tea Festival in preserving and honoring the value of ancient tea trees, affirming the Suoi Giang Shan Tuyet Tea brand in the domestic and international markets. The festival is also an opportunity to promote the development of new rural tourism associated with preserving the national cultural identity, contributing to improving the socio-economic life of the Mong people in Suoi Giang.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a tea art performance was held with the participation of artisans from tea cooperatives in Suoi Giang commune. Delegates and visitors were invited to enjoy exquisite cups of Shan Tuyet tea, in a traditional music space with the resounding sound of Mong flutes.

The following activities such as: demonstration of handmade Shan Tuyet tea roasting, serving tea at tea parties attracted the attention and enthusiastic participation of many guests and tourists.

Within the framework of the festival, many cultural, sports and tourism activities are also organized such as: men's and women's football tournaments for the Suoi Giang Cup 2025; "Golden Hand" tea picking contest at the ancient Dang Tra tea garden; rice cake pounding contest, beeswax painting on fabric; sports competitions and folk games such as: tug of war, stick pushing, pao throwing, stilt walking, spinning top...

The highland market was also opened, introducing OCOP products, Shan Tuyet tea, agricultural products, brocade and typical highland cuisine such as: thang co, men men, and banh day to serve the sightseeing and shopping needs of tourists.

In addition to the activities at the central stage, visitors can also participate in tours to visit famous tourist attractions in Suoi Giang such as Thien Cung Cave, Coc Tinh, bamboo forest, sim hill and ancient tea gardens. The organizers also fully arrange accommodation facilities at homestays and community guesthouses to ensure safety and convenience for tourists. The festival is carefully prepared, ensuring environmental sanitation, security and order, food safety and public service prices.
