Co To is creating a strong attraction for the 2025 summer tourist season with new products, attractive promotions and a series of exciting experiential activities throughout the summer.
In the 2025 tourist season, Co To is expected to welcome 300,000 visitors. The district has launched a large-scale tourism stimulus campaign with deep discount policies, new product development and a strong communication strategy. "We aim for this campaign not only to create a short-term effect on the number of visitors, but also to be a foundation to enhance the image of Co To tourism in the long term," said Ms. Ngo Thi Minh Sao, Deputy Head of the district's Department of Culture, Tourism and Science and Technology.
Accordingly, since the beginning of April, the program "Happy Summer - Co To Discount" has been implemented with a discount of 20-30% for transportation, accommodation, food and entertainment services. Shipping lines have adjusted ticket prices reasonably, increasing trips on weekends. Accommodation facilities, restaurants, and homestays have also participated, providing tourists with the opportunity to enjoy a budget-friendly vacation while still ensuring quality.
The highlight of this year's tourist season is the launch of a series of new tourism products. Discovery tours connect pristine spots such as Hon Su Tu, Co To Con, Hon Ca Chep, and Dao Tran, helping visitors experience wild and unique nature. In addition, marine sports and entertainment products are also strongly exploited such as jet skiing, surfing, kayaking, SUP rowing, coral diving... Co To is increasingly becoming an ideal destination for sports lovers and young tourists who love to explore.
Cultural and historical tourism continues to be focused on. Tours to historical sites associated with Uncle Ho's journey to visit the island, explore fishing villages and traditional craft villages, adding cultural depth to the trip. The eco-friendly homestay system has been upgraded, attracting young tourists, while high-quality resorts are ready to serve high-end customers. The seafood culinary space has also been heavily invested in, with restaurants in fishing villages serving specialties such as sea worms, sea urchins, groupers, mantis shrimps, etc.
Another highlight is the series of events that run from April to September. The opening ceremony of the summer tourism “Co To - Where the waves call the sun” on April 26, associated with the anniversary of Uncle Ho visiting the island and presenting the national flag to tourists, evoking pride and patriotism.
During June and July, the program “Co To - Rhythm of Life” will take place every Saturday evening, combining music, lights and street art in the sea space. The weekend culinary festival will bring seafood buffet parties, creating an ideal destination for those who love seafood cuisine.
The “Discover Co To - Loving Family” week will especially attract multi-generational families, combining fun activities, environmental education and cultural experiences. At the end of the summer, the “Co To - Colors of the Sea” beach carnival (1-2/9) will end the peak tourist season, creating an explosive atmosphere with music, street art and community interaction.
Co To also promotes through digital platforms with the campaign “Vietnam - Go to love!” combining the hashtags #DiscoverCoto, #DulichCoto on social networks, YouTube and international travel sites. Farmtrip and presstrip activities help strongly promote the image of Co To as a dynamic, modern green archipelago.
In addition to promotional activities and improving product quality, the locality also completes infrastructure such as ports, electric car parks and cross-island, coastal and inner-city routes. Enterprises also receive legal support to develop marine sports products and entertainment services - the strengths of Co To, creating a solid foundation for forming modern tourism business models and improving service quality.
It can be seen that with a comprehensive strategy from products, events to infrastructure and communication, Co To hopes to create an attractive and vibrant atmosphere for island tourism, strongly attracting tourists this summer 2025.
