As part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and respond to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025. Accordingly, Squadron 33 (Ministry of Information and Communications of Coast Guard Region 3) coordinated with Le Hong Phong Secondary School and Tuoi Tho Kindergarten (Con Dao district) to organize a book exhibition and discussion with the theme "Awareness - Innovation - Creativity".

This series of activities introduced to teachers and students of the island district many good books about President Ho Chi Minh, the tradition of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the heroic resistance periods of the nation. In addition, the festival also displayed many books about economics, politics, culture, society, art, etc.

Officers and soldiers of Squadron 33 and teachers of Le Hong Phong Secondary School (Con Dao district) responded to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025.

Previously, on April 21, Squadron 301 coordinated with the Logistics - Technical Department (Ministry of Transport of Coast Guard Region 3) to organize the 4th Vietnamese Book and Reading Day in 2025.

The festival took place with two main parts, including: Book promotion and exhibition, introducing the book "Blue Lotus" by writer Son Tung; Exhibition with two themes: Great victory of Spring 1975 - Heroic epic of the Ho Chi Minh era, Reading culture and knowledge, luggage to enter the digital age.

In addition, at Squadron 301, combined with a permanent book exhibition, with more than 1,000 books, articles, magazines, and typical documents, the exhibition took place with 9 contents: Ho Chi Minh, a model of lifelong learning; Following Uncle Ho on the campaign; Ho Chi Minh Campaign - Golden pages of history through battles; Great victory in Spring 1975 - Epic of complete victory; Great victory in Spring through pages of memories; The heroic South's children who were determined to die for the Fatherland; Glory of Uncle Ho's soldiers; World public opinion on the resistance war against America; Books - Reading culture and knowledge, luggage entering the digital age.

Officers, soldiers of all forces and students participate in reading books in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 organized by Squadron 301.

The programs in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 organized by agencies and units under the Ministry of Information and Communications of Coast Guard Region 3 have practical significance, aiming to create a useful cultural space, helping officers and soldiers clearly understand the position, role and importance of books and reading culture in the cause of developing culture, science and education of the country.

Thereby, arousing the passion for reading, supplementing knowledge, perfecting the personality of revolutionary soldiers; building a cultural and intellectual environment, making reading a habit, an indispensable beauty for officers and soldiers of the entire unit.
