Ministry of Education and Training keeps the 2025 High School Graduation Exam schedule unchanged

Recently, a number of cities and provinces have sent the Ministry of Education and Training a proposal to adjust the 2025 high school graduation exam schedule to early June, around June 7-10. The reason for this proposal, according to leaders of a number of Departments of Education and Training, stems from the situation where the whole country is implementing the arrangement and merger of provinces and cities and completing district-level tasks.

Responding to this issue, on March 20, Director of the Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training Huynh Van Chuong said that after considering many factors, the Ministry of Education and Training decided to keep the high school graduation exam schedule previously announced.

On August 1, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Decision No. 2045/QD-BGDDT, stipulating that the 2025 high school graduation exam will take place on June 26 and 27, 2025. Based on that, the People's Committees of provinces and cities across the country will issue a time frame for the local education sector and affiliated educational institutions to develop an education plan for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, keeping the graduation exam schedule unchanged is to help parents nationwide stabilize their psychology, focus on reviewing and preparing well for the upcoming exam, and at the same time not affect other activities of the education sector.

This year's 12th graders are studying a new curriculum, new textbooks, and the high school graduation exam continues to be innovative. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for school leaders, teachers, and 12th graders this year.
