The organizing committee has ensured that military agencies, units and enterprises have more than 1,870 bilateral meetings and working sessions to listen to product introductions and discuss areas of interest.
On that basis, a number of potential areas of cooperation have been discussed by the parties, and the Vietnamese defense industry has received many orders from foreign partners requesting to supply products such as: infantry guns; submunitions, mortars, artillery shells; economic ships; propellants - explosives used in the defense and civilian sectors; other economic products...
Units of the General Department of Defense Industry and the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group signed 16 contracts with a total value of about 286.3 million USD; signed 17 strategic cooperation agreements between Vietnam's defense industry and enterprises of countries with developed defense industries such as the US, India, France, Belgium, etc.
According to Mr. Tuyen, there are 242 defense industry enterprises and related domestic and international enterprises participating in the exhibition; more than 440 indoor and outdoor booths with a variety of products.
The Organizing Committee displayed 68 types of weapons in the Vietnam People's Army's inventory on an area of 10,530 m2 . The total number of weapons and technical equipment of Vietnam's defense industry on display was 464 products (an increase of 155 products compared to 2022); of which, 457 products were displayed indoors (an increase of 151 products compared to 2022).
As of 12:00 on December 22, the exhibition had welcomed more than 260,000 visitors from the public and industry. The exhibition organizers distributed more than 60,000 bottles of water and dry food to visitors for free and prepared carefully, forecasting the situation closely; the management and coordination work was flexible and smooth between departments to ensure security and safety in all aspects.
