On this occasion, Vinamilk visited and presented 12,000 nutritional products to more than 650 wounded soldiers being cared for at: Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center (Bac Ninh); Duy Tien War Invalids Nursing Center (Ha Nam); Nghe An Mental Health War Invalids Nursing Center; Vietnam Agent Orange Victims Support Center (Hanoi) and accompanied the 50th anniversary celebration of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification organized by the Standing Committee of the Resistance Tradition Liaison Committee of the Southern Central Office in Tay Ninh.

50 years since the country was reunified, people have been living in peace, but there are still memories left on the battlefield, there are wounds that have been deeply engraved on the body and mind, and have become the consequences of war. The consequences that veterans still carry with them to this day are the clearest evidence of the cruelty of war and also their sacrifice for the independence and freedom of the country.

Sharing, visiting and encouraging the veterans - Mr. Ngoc Anh, representative of the Vinamilk delegation (Hanoi Branch) shared emotionally: "These hands used to hold guns tightly, their strong steps were not afraid of the enemy. Now, although their health has declined a lot, they still talk about the fighting spirit and victory with great enthusiasm. I hope that you will always feel that the next generation will always remember the sacrifices and losses of you for peace today!"

Visiting centers for war invalids and veterans is also an annual activity carried out by Vinamilk's Tien Son Factory in Bac Ninh. "Returning to the center after a few years, I was happy to see familiar faces, some of whom still remembered me. But I also looked back, looking for old figures... but they have returned to their old comrades," said Nguyen Chi Cuong, Director of Tien Son Milk Factory (Vinamilk).

The Center representative said that there are wounded soldiers who are still healthy, their memories of the years on the battlefield are still intact, but they no longer have a family to return to. There are also soldiers who still have relatives, still have a home... but their health needs special care, and they are no longer allowed to travel far, so they stay at the center to be taken care of. The visits, gifts filled with love and gratitude from the visiting groups are a great spiritual encouragement for the soldiers.

Visiting war invalids or heroic Vietnamese mothers is a tradition of “repaying gratitude” and “remembering the source of water” that Vinamilk always strives for, especially when the whole country is heading towards the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. Therefore, although many of them are no longer clear-headed due to old age, they are still very happy to recognize familiar members of Vinamilk who have participated in these trips many times.

Sharing his feelings after visiting Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center (Bac Ninh), where 90% of war invalids suffer from spinal injuries leading to hemiplegia, Mr. Tran Nguyen Chanh - an employee of Tien Son Milk Factory (Vinamilk) expressed: "I don't know how much the war injuries will make the veterans suffer when the weather changes. I just hope that I can take advantage of the time when they are still healthy to take the best care of them," Mr. Chanh shared.

Without flowery words or elaborate formalities, the moment between the two generations meeting continued to tell a story about patriotism, about the inheritance of the spirit of Vietnamese pride. "Freedom and peace are not easy. Having them now, we must try to preserve them - the saying of a veteran spreading on social networks these days was felt most clearly by us when we visited them. Thank you to the previous generation who spent their youth fighting and sacrificing, so that today we can grow up in peace." - Ms. Phuong Anh - an employee of Tien Son Milk Factory (Vinamilk), shared with many special emotions.
