After getting off Noi Bai airport, Mr. NQT hurriedly got on the bus to go home for Tet, but when he got close to Hanoi, he discovered that he had forgotten his wallet containing all the money he had saved during 5 years of working in Nigeria.
At 9:05 p.m. on January 23, while on duty, Mr. Tran Xuan Thang, an employee of the pushcart team of Noi Bai Terminal Operation Center, discovered a wallet left behind in the public area of column number 5, 1st floor, Passenger Terminal T2.
Immediately after discovering the incident, Mr. Thang quickly reported the incident to the Noi Bai Aviation Security Center. At the scene, the authorities conducted an inspection and made a record. Inside the wallet was a large amount of cash in US dollars and Chinese yuan with a total value equivalent to about 120 million VND, along with 2 citizen identification cards in the names of NQT and NHTB.
It is known that the owner of Mr. NQT's wallet hurriedly got in the car and left the airport after landing.
When he was near Hanoi, he was shocked to discover that he had forgotten his wallet, so he hurried back to the airport. Mr. NQT was happy to know that the wallet had been discovered and preserved intact by Noi Bai airport staff.
Receiving the wallet back, Mr. NQT said: "This is the money I worked hard to save during 5 years of working in Nigeria."
"Luckily, I met a good person who helped me. I am really grateful to Mr. Thang and the Noi Bai Aviation Security force for supporting me," Mr. NQT said emotionally.
