50 years ago, in the historic days of April, five armies, together with armed forces and mass political forces, simultaneously entered Saigon: to the North was the 1st Corps, to the Southeast was the 2nd Corps; to the Northwest was the 3rd Corps, to the East was the 4th Corps;

At the historic moment of April 30, 1975, the Radio Relay Station located on the roof of the Independence Palace transmitted a telegram reporting to the Politburo: "Our army has liberated Saigon, the Ho Chi Minh Campaign has been completely victorious". At 11:30 a.m. on April 30, 1975, the liberation flag flew on the roof of the Independence Palace, ending the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, completely liberating the South and unifying the country. So that today Vietnam can proudly stand shoulder to shoulder with friends around the world.

Vietnam Fatherland Front Bloc

During the resistance wars, the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam and the Alliance of National, Democratic and Peace Forces of Vietnam promoted the role of uniting all classes of people for the goal of liberating the South and unifying the country.

Today, the Vietnam Fatherland Front continues the tradition of patriotism, solidarity, and creativity, taking the goal of national construction and development as the driving force and similarity to gather all classes of people, through patriotic emulation campaigns and movements; performing the core political role in building and promoting the strength of great national unity; representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people.

Vietnamese veterans are historical witnesses, those who devoted their youth, fought bravely and steadfastly. With the spirit of "cutting through Truong Son to save the country", in the resistance war against the US to save the country, Vietnamese veterans contributed to the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

With the spirit of "Rivers are battlefields, bridges and ferries are weapons, and youth volunteers are soldiers", Youth volunteers are a force serving in carrying ammunition, transporting food, clearing roads, and taking care of wounded soldiers during the resistance war.

After the liberation day, the former Youth Volunteers continued to participate in the reconstruction of the City, overcoming the consequences of war; serving in combat and fighting, protecting the southwestern border of the Fatherland; actively participating in the task of socio-economic development, building the City. The Youth Volunteers were honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and the State, twice the title of Hero of Labor in the renovation period.

The opening of the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification was the welcome flight of the aircraft squadrons of the Vietnam People's Air Force.

With the motto "fight the many with few, defeat the large with high quality". With extraordinary courage, intelligence and creativity, the Air Force "once launched, they brought back victory", defeating the enemy in the air, on the ground and at sea.

In the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, the "Determined to Win Squadron" attacked the last stronghold of the Saigon government, contributing to the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

This year's parade will feature 10 helicopters hoisting the Party and national flags. Along with them will be a fighter squadron consisting of Su-30MK2 multi-role fighters and Yak130 trainer aircraft.

Today's parade has 56 forces including the Army, Police, civilians and mass representatives marching together on Le Duan Street to the Reunification Hall.

The groups will depart from the intersection of Le Duan and Nguyen Binh Khiem streets, moving through the main stage in front of the Reunification Hall. At the end of this schedule, the forces will split into 4 directions and move towards the assembly point.

In which, direction 1 , after passing the Reunification Hall, the parade turns left and follows Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Loi - Nguyen Hue street. Then, return to the assembly location at Bach Dang wharf park.

Direction 2 , after passing Thong Nhat Hall, turn left and follow Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Le Loi - Le Lai - Cach Mang Thang 8 street and return to the assembly point at Tao Dan park.

Direction 3 , after passing Thong Nhat Hall, turn right and follow Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Dinh Chieu - Dinh Tien Hoang street. Then, go to the assembly point at Hoa Lu stadium.

Direction 4 , after passing the Reunification Hall, the parade turns right and follows Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Dien Bien Phu - Hai Ba Trung street. Then, return to the assembly point at Le Van Tam park.
