That was the sharing of experts at the Seminar "Application of AI in production: driving force for innovation and development" organized by Industry and Trade Magazine on March 31, in Hanoi.

According to Mr. Hoang Ninh - Deputy Director of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, Ministry of Industry and Trade, one of the outstanding applications of AI in production is predictive maintenance, helping businesses identify early risks of machine failure, minimizing production interruptions. In addition, AI is also being strongly applied in product quality control with higher accuracy than humans.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has actively and proactively invited leading enterprises in the 4.0 industrial revolution and AI such as SIEMENS, Samsung, Toyota to organize training conferences and courses for enterprises in the industry to increase human resources; promote incentives for enterprises in the industry to apply scientific and technological advances, especially AI in production; strengthen international cooperation in the application of science and technology to take advantage of the experience of foreign corporations, enterprises, and governments with advantages, thereby applying and promoting in the industry and trade sector.

Mr. Hoang Ninh also said that the application of AI in production in Vietnam is becoming more and more popular, helping businesses improve productivity, optimize processes and reduce waste. Some industries and fields in industry and commerce have successfully applied AI.

However, implementing AI requires businesses to invest systematically in data infrastructure and personnel training, while resources are limited. Experts recommend that there should be support policies from the state, as well as promoting cooperation between businesses and technology organizations to maximize the potential of AI in production.

Despite many challenges, AI is still considered an important key to help Vietnam's manufacturing industry make a breakthrough in the digital transformation period.
