The Lao People's Army was established on January 20, 1949. Currently, the Lao People's Army is being built and developed comprehensively in all aspects. The relationship between the two Parties, two countries, and two armies of Vietnam and Laos is increasingly consolidated and enhanced, together preserving and protecting the revolutionary achievements, security, safety of border areas and territorial integrity of each country, contributing to fostering and enhancing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation for the prosperous development of each country and the region.

The Royal Cambodian Army was established on November 9, 1953, consisting of the following forces: Army, Navy, Air Force, Gendarmerie and many specialized forces, playing an important role in protecting sovereignty, territorial integrity and peace in Cambodia.

With the long-standing traditional relationship of friendship and solidarity between the two countries, the Royal Cambodian Army and the Vietnam People's Army always stand side by side, help each other, fight together against the common enemy, gain victory, and bring peace, independence and freedom to each country.

Currently, the armies of Cambodia and Vietnam are continuing to consolidate and strengthen the traditional relationship of friendship, solidarity and cooperation in many fields, contributing to protecting the independence and sovereignty of each country under the motto "Good neighbors, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability".
