On the golden rice fields of Tam Coc stretching along the Ngo Dong River at Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Area, Hoa Lu City, Ninh Binh Province, this year, people have created a rice painting " Fish Jumping Over Dragon Gate " with an area of ​​10,000m2 to convey beautiful aspirations and the spirit of striving to achieve brilliant achievements.

This promises to be a unique tourism product, welcoming visitors to Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025, which is about to be held. The rice fields in Tam Coc are famous as one of the 5 most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam with an area of ​​over 18 hectares, winding along the Ngo Dong River.

To prepare to welcome tourists to Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 taking place at the end of May, right from the Lunar New Year, the Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Area Management Board has coordinated with local authorities to urge and guide local farmers to go to the fields to plant rice in time for the crop.

In particular, this year's painting " Fish Jumping Over Dragon Gate " has many complex details, interwoven colors, requiring rice to be planted according to instructions, and the rice growth process must be pruned, cared for and edited promptly. Thai Xuyen rice variety with characteristics of hard plants, good resistance to pests and diseases, suitable for local soil continues to be planted to properly realize the artistic idea of ​​the painting.

Local people are also supported with all rice seeds, fertilizers and instructions on how to care for and prevent pests and diseases, ensuring the rice ripens and is most beautiful. Ms. Hoang Thi Hue, Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu city, said that local people are proud to contribute to creating the picture on the Tam Coc-Bich Dong rice fields.

With that spirit, artist Phuc Khoi always wants to renew the artistic forms on the rice fields but still ensure the folk elements, close to the typical rice farming residents in the Northern region in general and in Ninh Binh in particular.

Aiming to successfully build " Tam Coc four seasons " to create new products and diverse experiences for domestic and international tourists, in the coming time, Tam Coc-Bich Dong Tourist Area hopes to create art on the rice fields not only at the Hai cave entrance but also on the entire field, becoming an art painting on the largest rice field in Vietnam to honor the wet rice agriculture of the Vietnamese people.
