Trang An Festival - a unique cultural feature, closely associated with the outstanding global values ​​of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex World Heritage Site. Trang An Festival is held annually to convey the mindset of living in harmony and respecting nature of our ancestors.

The festival also has a profound spiritual meaning, expressing respect to gods and ancestors. This is an opportunity for local people and domestic and international tourists to offer prayers for national peace, favorable weather, and bountiful harvests. At the same time, it honors the ancestors who have contributed to the discovery and protection of the sacred land of Trang An heritage.

Trang An Festival is an opportunity for the local community to express their spirit of solidarity, attachment, sharing, together preserving and promoting heritage values ​​according to the motto "living in heritage, preserving heritage and benefiting from heritage".

At the same time, it reminds us of the responsibility to protect the environment, preserve cultural identity and pass on good values ​​to future generations in a heritage area where "Nature creates - History refines - People inspire and aspire to rise up".

The organization of Trang An festival has made an important contribution to promoting the image of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex to domestic and foreign tourists. This is a unique event, helping Ninh Binh tourism develop in a sustainable direction, linking conservation and responsible exploitation of heritage.

Of the total 1,223 World Heritage Sites (as of 2024), only 40 heritages are recognized as Mixed Heritages (meeting both cultural and natural criteria), accounting for only about 3.2%. The recognition of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex as the 31st/40 mixed heritage by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2014 demonstrates the stature and unique value of Trang An in the Southeast Asian region as well as in the system of World Heritages.

In particular, the brand value of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex has just been estimated by domestic and international experts and scientists at 213 billion USD. This is a clear demonstration of the attractiveness and strong development potential of Trang An, not only in terms of heritage but also in terms of economy, tourism and national brand.

With majestic natural landscapes, a unique system of historical and cultural relics and outstanding global values, Trang An is increasingly affirming its important role in Vietnam's sustainable tourism development strategy, contributing to enhancing the position of Ninh Binh province, opening up opportunities for tourism development and posing a greater responsibility for Ninh Binh province in preserving and conserving for future generations according to the 1972 World Heritage Convention.
