Mr. Hung said: Before, every time I needed to look up tax information or declare and pay taxes, I had to go directly to the tax office, but now it is very convenient to do it on the computer. Especially, since the tax department deployed the eTax Mobile application, I can sit anywhere, at any time to fulfill my tax payment obligations.
Ms. Do Thi Vui, owner of a general store in Chieng An Ward, City, shared: Previously, I often visited the electronic tax website on my computer, but since having the eTax Mobile application on my phone, I can look up tax liability information and pay electronic taxes right on my phone. The application also notifies me of upcoming tax due dates, helping me avoid late tax payments, saving me time and effort.
Deployed by the Tax Department since 2022, up to now, in Son La province, 45,801 taxpayers have registered for eTax Mobile electronic tax application accounts. Mr. Nguyen Duy Tuan, Head of Data Administration and Risk Management Department, Tax Department of Region IX, said: eTax Mobile is an electronic tax application installed on smartphones with iOS or Android operating systems, allowing individuals, business individuals and business households to look up tax registration declarations anytime, anywhere on devices with 3G/4G/Wifi/GPRS connection. The application will support taxpayers to easily interact with tax authorities, conveniently access new policy information, and create close connections between tax authorities and taxpayers.
Functions supported on the eTax Mobile application include: Managing registered accounts, changing accounts; looking up tax declaration records; paying taxes electronically; looking up dependent information; looking up tax obligations; other convenient functions to serve the needs of taxpayers;
Despite many benefits, the implementation of the eTax Mobile application still has some difficulties. Some taxpayers, especially small businesses or individuals in remote areas, face difficulties due to lack of internet connection; difficulty finding important functions or not being optimized on some incompatible phone lines.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long, Deputy Head of the Tax Department of Region IX, said: With the motto "Taxpayers are the center of service", the Department continues to promote propaganda, support and raise people's awareness of the benefits of using the eTax Mobile electronic tax application. Coordinate with banks and credit institutions to expand payment channels, creating favorable conditions for taxpayers. Propose to the Tax Department to fix technical errors, improve the application's performance, especially the issue of synchronizing data from the tax management system to the application, to ensure that taxpayers can pay on time and smoothly.
In addition, the Tax Department directs the professional departments, tax teams, and the Youth Union to each individual business household, taxpayers receiving salaries from the state budget, and enterprises to directly guide them on how to install and use the eTax Mobile application on mobile devices, register accounts, how to link with banks on the application, and conduct transactions with tax authorities. Review and standardize to ensure complete and accurate data before providing services to taxpayers. By the end of 2025, the province strives to have 79,658 individuals and business households registered for transaction accounts on the eTax Mobile application.
The implementation of the eTax Mobile application creates the most favorable conditions for taxpayers; at the same time, it helps the Tax Department of Region IX operate effectively in tax management, especially after implementing the policy of arranging, streamlining the apparatus and gradually modernizing tax management.
