Colonel Duong Van Quang, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 1, presented 60 million VND to support Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen's family.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuyen's family is in extremely difficult circumstances, unable to build a house. Mr. Tuyen himself is in poor health and often gets sick and has to be hospitalized for long periods of time. The couple lives in a makeshift house precariously built on a hillside with a high risk of landslides. Sharing the family's difficulties, Military Region 1 has provided 60 million VND from the Military Region's "For the Poor" fund to help the family build a new house.

This is a meaningful work given on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification; at the same time, it also demonstrates the sense of responsibility and affection of the officers and soldiers of the Military Region's armed forces towards their families and localities. Thereby, it enhances the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the revolutionary homeland of Viet Bac.
