Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh achieved the maximum score of 800/800 in both the Reading and Math sections. This result was achieved by the Ha Tinh female student on her second attempt. With this result, Dieu Anh is among the rare candidates in the world who achieved a perfect score on the SAT - which requires comprehensive excellence in reading comprehension, reasoning and logical thinking skills.

Sharing with VietNamNet , Dieu Anh said she was very surprised and happy with the unexpected result. "I was quite confident with my test but I only thought I would get about 1500 or more, not the perfect score. I am still overwhelmed with emotions," Dieu Anh said.

Not only did Dieu Anh have impressive SAT scores, she was also an excellent student in many fields and achieved many remarkable achievements. She was the class monitor for 12 consecutive years, won first prize in the provincial English competition for excellent students in grades 9 and 12, and second prize in the provincial English competition for excellent students in grades 10 and 11. Dieu Anh also has an IELTS score of 8.0, with a Writing score of 8.0.

To achieve good academic results, Dieu Anh said that her secret is probably to build a scientific and reasonable daily schedule. "Every day, I will make a list of things I need to do and the time it takes to complete them, which helps me to do many things effectively," the female student said.

Regarding learning methods, Dieu Anh focuses on learning and mastering basic knowledge before expanding or gradually increasing advanced exercises.

To absorb knowledge effectively, female students always pay attention to lectures in class. Dieu Anh also takes advantage of solving homework in class to have more time at home to search for and learn new or supplementary knowledge.

The female student said that her strong subject is English. Her mother is a secondary school English teacher, so she was lucky to have access to this subject from an early age. Because of that, Dieu Anh had a solid foundation in English right from primary school. "As I grew older, I realized that I have a passion and strength in this subject," Dieu Anh said.

The female student practices speaking and using English with the motto of trying in every activity and daily context. She learns English in a very natural way, without forcing herself to listen to a certain number of hours every day,...

Before each exam, Dieu Anh tries to practice as many questions as possible. “You could say I learn by practicing questions and learning from my mistakes. I always have a notebook to write down my mistakes in the exam questions. Whenever I make a mistake, I will focus on studying more and reading more about that area,” the female student said.

The spirit of always trying and never giving up is something that Dieu Anh thinks is very important not only in studying but also in many other things.

Dieu Anh said that in fact, to get the perfect SAT result today, she had to take the test twice. On her first attempt in November 2024, she only got 1390 - a score lower than expected.

“When I received the results that were not as expected, I was quite sad. But after thinking about it, I realized that the score at that time was completely appropriate and reflected correctly because at that time I had not prepared and invested properly. At that time, I told myself to try harder, determined to put all my effort into this exam and the result was worth it,” Dieu Anh said.

Not only is Dieu Anh a good student, she also holds the role of Vice President of BoNE Club - a charity organization and reading culture development organization of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong Huyen, the homeroom teacher and English teacher of grade 12 English 1, said that the perfect SAT score is not only an academic achievement, but also a worthy result of Dieu Anh's extremely hard-working and determined learning and training process.

Outside of school, to relieve stress, the female student enjoys reading books and playing volleyball with friends.

The female student from Ha Tinh said that her initial goal was to study English Pedagogy at Hanoi National University of Education or University of Foreign Languages ​​- Hanoi National University.

With an impressive SAT score, Dieu Anh also thinks about studying abroad if she successfully applies and receives a large scholarship in the future. However, at this time, she still prioritizes focusing on completing her high school program to get good high school graduation exam results.

In addition to Dieu Anh, the 12th grade English 1 class of Ha Tinh Specialized High School for the 2024-2025 school year also has many other outstanding students.
