A school in Ho Chi Minh City implements the Oxford international high school program

Mr. Luke Sweetman, Head of International Cooperation, Oxford University Press (right) and Mr. Stuart McLay, Director of Education, Asia International School, signed a memorandum of understanding to implement the Oxford International High School Program.

The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding on implementing the Oxford international general education program between the Asian International School system and Oxford University Press (OUP), UK, marks the beginning of a strategic partnership, aiming to bring the UK's standard international general education program into teaching at all campuses of this school system.

The Oxford International General Education Program was researched and developed by Oxford University Press, a member of the world's leading prestigious university, the University of Oxford, based on the UK's standard general education program framework. With a unique approach of "joy in learning", the program aims to create a fun academic environment, where students are free to explore and develop themselves comprehensively to become global citizens.

Attending the signing ceremony, Ms. Alexandra Elizabeth Smith, Consul General of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Ho Chi Minh City and Trade Director in Vietnam, shared her belief that this cooperation will open up valuable opportunities, helping students not only develop knowledge and skills, but also confidently shape their own future. Thereby, contributing to promoting interest in learning, stimulating critical thinking, preparing students to face the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.

Also at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thuy My Chau, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, highly appreciated the cooperation between Oxford University Press and the Asian International School. "I believe that the implementation of this program will help students access advanced knowledge and skills, equipping them with a solid foundation to help them confidently become global citizens. Meeting the increasing demands of society in training high-quality human resources of international standards for Ho Chi Minh City", Ms. Chau said.
