In the trading session on August 7-8, the market continued to show gains thanks to the unexpected surge in Vingroup 's stock group. However, overall, the market remained cautious, gradually retreating back into negative territory during the trading session.
At the close of trading, the VN-Index rose 5.6 points, closing at 1,215 points. Trading volume on the HOSE decreased, with 510.2 million shares traded.

Rong Viet Securities Joint Stock Company stated that overall capital flows remain cautious as the market rises due to the negative impact of the recent sharp decline. It is expected that the 1,220-point level will continue to put selling pressure on the market in the coming period, and the risk of further declines remains.
"Investors should be cautious given the market's instability and avoid chasing rising prices. They should also consider market rallies to take profits or restructure their portfolios to minimize risk," Rồng Việt recommends.
According to VCBS Securities Company, the market is still maintaining its recovery momentum. However, corrective fluctuations are still occurring because blue-chip stocks have not yet recovered uniformly.
"Investors should continue with T+ trading strategies, while strictly adhering to investment rules regarding stop-loss and take-profit points to protect profits. Some sectors worth considering for stock selection include oil and gas, retail, and chemicals," VCBS recommends.
