From 2016 to present, Tra Ly Border Guard Station has adopted and sponsored 8 students, of which 6 are supported under the program "Helping children go to school" and 2 are supported under the model "Adopted children of the Border Guard Station", thereby contributing to joining hands with local authorities to support children in difficult circumstances to have better conditions in nurturing, caring for, and studying to become good children and good students.

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Provincial Border Guard Command presented gifts to Ta Thi Mai Oanh, Thai Do commune (Thai Thuy).

The program "Helping children go to school" has been implemented by the Provincial Border Guard Command since 2016 and the model "Adopted children of border guards" has been implemented since 2019. Up to now, the Provincial Border Guard Command has adopted and sponsored 35 children in especially difficult circumstances with a support level of 500,000 VND/child/month. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Education and Training, the Red Cross Society, the Provincial Association for Promotion of Education and benefactors provided cash support of 760 million VND, supported solidarity houses for 3 "adopted children of border guards" with a total cost of 600 million VND, and presented 35 bicycles, 5 computers and many valuable school supplies.

Appreciating the effectiveness and significance of the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of border guards", the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department requested the Provincial Border Guard Command to actively deploy and expand the program to become a fulcrum to help students in difficult circumstances rise up, strive to study and become useful people for society, thereby promoting the role and responsibility of local Party committees, authorities and people in participating in protecting national sovereignty and border security.
