The Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 97 on organizing Hanoi's activities to participate in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2025.

Accordingly, the Plan implements 5 groups of contents expressed through 22 specifically assigned activities.

Activities to strengthen the implementation of policies to promote creative activities. Hanoi will organize conferences, seminars and talks to exchange experiences and propose solutions to promote creative activities. The city will also study the establishment of a Creative Support Fund to support creative ideas and activities, and award the Hanoi Creative Awards.

Strengthening communication, promotion and introduction of creative activities, as planned, connecting and cooperating with cities in the Network, upgrading the information and communication system on creative activities. Hanoi will introduce creative ideas and raise public awareness of the Global Creative Cities Network.

Activities to participate as a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. The city will establish an Advisory Council of Experts and sign a cooperation agreement with the Vietnam Association of Architects to promote the Hanoi brand in the Creative Cities Network. At the same time, Hanoi will promote international cooperation with member cities in the Network.

Hanoi will encourage businesses and individuals to be creative, organize creative competitions and build creative spaces at cultural relics such as the Temple of Literature and Hoa Lo Prison.

Hanoi Creative Design Festival (HFCD) will become an interdisciplinary creative connection platform, with the goal of developing a creative ecosystem and attracting investment.

The Department of Culture and Sports is the Standing agency coordinating with relevant units to implement the tasks in this plan, in order to fulfill Hanoi's commitment in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
