(QBĐT) - Continuing the working program in Lao PDR, on the morning of April 11, a high-ranking delegation of Quang Binh province led by Mr. Tran Hai Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited and wished a happy Bunpimay New Year in Kham Muon province. Joining the delegation were Mr. Doan Ngoc Lam, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Receiving the high-ranking delegation of Quang Binh province was comrade Van-xay Phong-savanh, member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary and Governor of Khammouane province.

On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Binh province, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Hai Chau sent his deepest condolences to the Party Committee, government and people of Khammouane province on the passing of General Khamtay Siphandone, former Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, former President and former Prime Minister of the Lao PDR.

Giving an overview of the socio-economic development of Quang Binh province and the results of cooperation between the two provinces in recent times, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee hoped that Quang Binh and Khammouane would continue to strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, culture and society; closely coordinate in ensuring national defense and security, building a peaceful, stable and mutually developing border.

On the occasion of the traditional Lao New Year Bunpimay, comrade Tran Hai Chau sent his best wishes for a prosperous and healthy new year to the Party Committee, government and people of Khammouane province. The high-ranking delegation of Quang Binh province presented 300 million VND to Khammouane province for social security work.

Expressing his sincere gratitude for the affection that the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Binh province have for Khammouane province, Comrade Van-xay Phong-savanh, Secretary and Governor of the province, wished that the two provinces would continue to cooperate more closely in many fields. Thereby contributing to promoting the special friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos "forever green, forever sustainable".

On this occasion, the high-ranking delegation of Quang Binh province and a number of enterprises in the province visited and presented 150 million VND to the Vietnamese Association in Kham Muon province, the Vietnamese Association in Xieng Vang village and Chom Cheng Primary School, each unit received 50 million VND; presented gifts to Team 589, Quang Binh Provincial Military Command; and offered incense at the Memorial Temple for Vietnamese martyrs and volunteer experts who sacrificed their lives in Laos.
