On the afternoon of June 21, the Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa City to organize a forum on legal advice, job introduction, and loan support for people serving criminal sentences in the community and reintegrating into the community in Thanh Hoa City.

Overview of the forum.

At the forum, nearly 500 people serving criminal sentences in the community and people reintegrating into the community in Thanh Hoa City were informed by the authorities and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Bar Association about the provisions of the law and some common legal issues in the process of reintegrating into the community. In addition, representatives of the Provincial Social Policy Bank Branch directly advised on documents and procedures for borrowing capital for people who have completed their prison sentences according to Decision 12 of the Prime Minister.

At the same time, with the participation of 12 businesses that are in need of recruiting personnel in Thanh Hoa City, people serving criminal sentences in the community and people reintegrating into the community in Thanh Hoa City also have the opportunity to access recruitment and training information to find suitable careers.

The forum for legal advice, job introduction, and loan support for people serving criminal sentences in the community and those reintegrating into the community is part of a series of activities organized by the Provincial Police in coordination with local authorities, aiming to help people who have completed their prison sentences overcome their inferiority complex, better integrate into the community, and gradually stabilize their lives. Thereby reducing the rate of recidivism, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area.

It is known that in the past 3 years, the police force at all levels has done a good job of receiving, managing, and educating nearly 4,000 people serving criminal sentences in the community and people reintegrating into the community; at the same time, proactively advising the authorities at all levels to effectively direct this work. Up to now, the whole province is maintaining the operation of 84 models of management, education, and rehabilitation of people who have made mistakes in the community; 191 people who have completed their prison sentences have been supported with loans; of which more than 17 billion VND is from the Central budget and more than 9 billion VND is from the capital transferred by the Provincial People's Committee because the Provincial Police advised the Provincial People's Committee to arrange from the local budget.
