The journey "Youth for the sea and islands of the homeland" in 2025 carries the message "Proud of a strip of mountains and rivers" taking place on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, 50 years of the liberation of Truong Sa archipelago; demonstrating the spirit of shock, volunteerism, and sharing of cadres, union members, and youth with cadres, soldiers, and people on the islands who are day and night guarding and protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

This is a journey marking the 17-year journey of implementing the Cooperation Program between the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Navy.

The journey was attended by more than 80 delegates who are typical young faces in the Youth Union, Association, and Team cadres, young entrepreneurs, artists, doctors, young intellectuals, press reporters, Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces and Promising Young Vietnamese Faces in 2024.

Currently, the total amount of money and gifts donated by organizations, businesses and individuals to support officers, soldiers and people of Truong Sa archipelago has reached nearly 2 billion VND. Before the journey, the Central Youth Union Secretariat launched a program to support the construction of new houses for families of Navy officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Navy's Traditional Day, while responding to the emulation movement of the whole country joining hands to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses".
