Delegates were provided with information on national governance and public administration performance trends and the most concerning issues in 2024; people's assessment of local government's response to climate change-related disaster risks; announcement of the Provincial PAPI Index: Results in 2024 and trends from 2021-2024... At the same time, they discussed the findings of the PAPI 2024 research.
Accordingly, the PAPI Index 2024 report synthesizes the opinions of 18,894 people from 61 provinces and cities across the country; analyzes the feelings, experiences, opinions and expectations of survey participants on the performance of local governments in implementing State policies and laws, local governance and providing public services at all levels of government in 2024.
From there, evaluate the effectiveness of governance and public administration, find bright spots for localities to learn from, and point out areas that need improvement. Based on these “speaking numbers”, all levels and sectors continue to adjust or develop action plans to strengthen the quality of public services, promote innovation, and meet the increasing needs of the people.
According to the 2024 PAPI index results, Vinh Long province achieved 43.20 points, an increase of 2.38 points compared to 2023; ranked 36/61 provinces and cities nationwide (up 11 places) and ranked 6th in the Mekong Delta region (up 2 places).
