ABC News confirmed that US Vice President Kamala Harris and Mr. Donald Trump have agreed to participate in a debate organized by the station on September 10, marking the first debate between the two presidential candidates since incumbent President Joe Biden withdrew from the election.
Poll results released by Ipsos show that Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is receiving 42% support, leading her Republican opponent Donald Trump at 37% in the race for the US presidency.
Meanwhile, according to CNN, Mr. Donald Trump announced his readiness to debate Democratic opponent Kamala Harris three times next September on different television platforms.

Speaking at a press conference at his residence in Palm Beach, Florida, former President Trump expressed his desire to hold debates on September 4 on Fox News, September 10 on ABC News, and September 25 on NBC News. However, he did not provide specific terms, such as whether the debates would have an audience or whether his campaign team had made any proposals to Ms. Harris.
Previously, Ms. Harris' campaign team rejected Mr. Trump's proposal to hold a debate on Fox News on September 4.
