Particularly in the field of intangible cultural heritage (ICH), Binh Duong has hundreds of traditional festivals, dozens of craft villages, many types of folk performances, folk knowledge, including Don Ca Tai Tu (ĐCTT).
Many people are passionate about the subject of DCTT.
In recent times, Binh Duong province has issued and implemented projects and plans such as: "Preserving and promoting the artistic value of Don ca tai tu in Binh Duong province, period 2016 - 2020", "Preserving and promoting the artistic value of Don ca tai tu in Binh Duong province until 2025, orientation to 2030"... Thereby, contributing to the good implementation of the Law on Cultural Heritage in Binh Duong province.
Preserving local DCTT through exchange and performance programs
With the heritage of ĐCTT art, up to now, the province has organized dozens of ĐCTT art teaching classes in schools and communities, and carried out more than 80 ĐCTT art teaching programs on Radio and Television.
Meritorious Artist Cao Thi Thang was interviewed in the program I Love Binh Duong of Binh Duong Newspaper.
Binh Duong province also organized the National Don Ca Tai Tu Festival (2nd time) in 2017, the Southern Traditional Music Festival in the expanded Southeast region and periodically organized the Provincial and District-level Traditional Music - Cai Luong Festival annually.
In addition, publishing the book "Compendium of ĐCTT Arts of Binh Duong Province", distributing 8,000 leaflets and 4,350 DVDs introducing ĐCTT songs, conducting 2 weekly rotating broadcasts, including 254 programs, organizing 7 new lyrics composition contests, introducing ĐCTT artists in the program "I Love Binh Duong" of Binh Duong Online Newspaper...
People's Artist Thu Hong (left cover) is teaching the subject of ĐCTT.
Binh Duong Newspaper also had a program called I Love Binh Duong introducing two female artists who are currently considered "big trees" in the art of ĐCTT in Binh Duong. They are People's Artist Thu Hong and Meritorious Artist Cao Thi Thang. They were once performing artists with soulful and captivating voices, becoming lecturers who passed on the passion for ĐCTT to many generations to come.
Currently, although the two female artists are old, their passion for passing on their craft to the younger generation is still burning. People's Artist Thu Hong has participated in many national festivals and performances and won many high awards such as: National Gold Medal in 2002; National Gold Medal in 2007; National A Prize in 2012; National Silver Medal in 2014. In 2016, People's Artist Thu Hong participated in the Eastern Singing Festival and won a Gold Medal. In 2017, at the National Singing Festival, People's Artist Thu Hong continued to win another Gold Medal and a Silver Medal... Notably, in 2019, Thu Hong was awarded the title of People's Artist for her outstanding contributions in preserving and promoting the nation's intangible cultural heritage.
Talking to us, artist Thu Hong still has a burning desire: the more people she can pass on the ĐCTT technique, the better, because this is a difficult performing art to learn and express. Not letting down the "teacher" who passed on the profession, many generations of artist Thu Hong's students have become famous and achieved much success in the ĐCTT art form.
As for Meritorious Artist Cao Thi Thang, she still does not forget her days of artistic activities when she was young. She was one of the active factors of the ĐCTT movement in Binh Duong. Meritorious Artist Cao Thi Thang has long been known to many people because of her soulful "golden oriole" voice. In the 70s of the last century, that voice appeared on the radio waves and won the affection of many music lovers. In 1978-1979, Meritorious Artist Cao Thi Thang continuously won 2 gold medals from the Ministry of Culture.
The artistic activities of two veteran female artists and many other individuals in the province will actively contribute to the preservation and sustainable promotion of the art of Don Ca Tai Tu according to the Project "Preserving and promoting the artistic value of Don Ca Tai Tu in Binh Duong province until 2025, with a vision to 2030", contributing to maintaining the title "Representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity".
According to the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province is implementing many activities to preserve, promote, exploit and promote the values of intangible cultural heritage representing humanity and the country in increasingly rich and diverse forms such as: implementing scientific topics, publishing monographs, filming documentary films, permanent exhibitions, mobile exhibitions, posting articles on Binh Duong newspaper, website of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, posting news articles on the Museum's Facebook page. In addition, the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Youth Union to develop and organize practical programs and movement activities such as: extracurricular activities for union members and youth at craft village relics, thematic activities on cultural heritage, integrating the content of intangible cultural heritage into competitions... These activities will contribute to further promoting the value of intangible cultural heritage, enriching the introduction of the land and people of Binh Duong. |
