Booking.com, one of the global leaders in digital travel, has just released information about the domestic and international destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists for the National Day holiday.
Data is recorded based on searches from August 31 to September 3, 2024.
Dalat is at the top of the list of trending destinations with its peaceful landscape and poetic ancient French architecture. This peaceful city helps visitors temporarily forget the busy work cycle and pressure of the bustling urban life.
Another name in the highlands is Sapa, a northwestern mountain town with cool, fresh air and picturesque scenery, ranked 9th on the list.
In addition, coastal cities such as Da Nang, Vung Tau, and Nha Trang continue to receive the attention and love of tourists wishing to enjoy the summer sun.

The coastal city of Nha Trang is also very popular.
Notably, Phan Thiet entered the top 10 for the first time thanks to the opening of the Dau Giay - Phan Thiet Expressway. The expressway has significantly shortened the travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet, making travel more convenient.
Famous tourist cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hoi An, Hanoi and Hue are also named in the list. These destinations attract visitors thanks to the harmonious blend of historical elements and rich, unique culture.

Hoi An
With Vietnamese travelers increasingly looking for shorter travel experiences, international destinations that are geographically close to Vietnam are becoming more popular. This year, countries in the Asia-Pacific region were the top choices, with all 10 most searched international destinations located in this region.

Bangkok (Thailand) is the most searched city, followed by vibrant cultural centers in Asia, with a variety of interesting shopping and culinary experiences, including Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Hong Kong (China). These are all destinations that Vietnamese tourists prioritize for the upcoming long holiday.
Varun Grover, Country Manager for Vietnam at Booking.com, shared that the trend shows that Vietnamese tourists are looking for a domestic and international vacation that can combine a variety of different experiences, from cultural exploration to relaxing at peaceful mountain resorts or enjoying sunny beaches.
