Evaluating the 10th grade supplementary enrollment, Mr. Le Hoai Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the supplementary enrollment has helped ensure the rights of students who failed their 3 wishes for reasons such as choosing inappropriate wishes, choosing wrong wishes... but have high scores to continue studying at public schools in the city.

According to Mr. Le Hoai Nam, in the 2024-2025 school year, the Department of Education and Training has applied a regional priority mechanism for students at secondary schools in outlying districts such as Cu Chi, Nha Be, Can Gio, Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh and Thu Duc City. Candidates applying to high schools in the same area as this secondary school will be considered according to NV1.

The application of regional priority has brought some advantages to candidates and high schools such as: Ensuring the rights of candidates in remote areas with many difficulties to continue studying at public high schools; helping high schools in remote areas to enroll enough students compared to the assigned quota, ensuring better operating conditions compared to previous school years, clearly shown through the enrollment data of some schools lacking students.

"At the end of the admission process, the whole city had 1,400 additional candidates admitted out of the total additional admission quota of 2,203, reaching a rate of 63.54%" - Mr. Nam informed.
