Mobile Library Vehicle Serves Nearly 800 Students in Kong Chro

(GLO)- During 2 days (April 24 and 25), Gia Lai Provincial Library coordinated with Kong Chro District Library to organize extracurricular activities in response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), aiming to spread reading culture in the community, arouse the love of books among young people, and contribute to building a learning society.

The program was held at Le Van Tam Primary and Secondary School (Dak Po Pho commune) and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Primary School (Kong Chro town), attracting nearly 800 students to participate.

At the program, students can read books for free from the Mobile Library with more than 5,000 books of many genres such as literature, science, psychology, physical training, comics, fairy tales... In particular, the vehicle is also equipped with 10 computers connected to the internet to serve the needs of information search, technology access and improving information technology skills for students.

With flexible service, a variety of books, and a lively reading space, the activities have helped students develop their creativity, form reading habits, and love to seek knowledge anytime, anywhere.

Through extracurricular activities, reading culture continues to be strongly spread in schools, contributing to building a friendly and positive learning environment and gradually making reading culture a beautiful feature in community life.
