Traveling from Go Vap district, Ms. Thanh Phuong (32 years old, office worker) looked at the car over and over again. After a test drive around Vinhomes area, Ms. Phuong commented that "the car is beautiful and runs very well". According to Ms. Phuong, because she needs to commute 20km every day, she wants to own a small electric car like VinFast VF 3 to replace her gasoline motorbike.

Looking at the small image but in reality on the outside, the VF3 electric car is massive, bigger than the Chinese Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. "The VF3 model has an ideal price, I will discuss with my husband to buy this one" - Ms. Phuong said.

VF 3 is the smallest electric car in VinFast's product line. However, VF 3 still has enough interior space for 4 people thanks to its wheelbase of up to 2,075mm. The 16-inch rims increase the ground clearance to 191mm, helping the car move on a variety of terrains. On a full charge, VF 3 runs 215km, fast charging time from 10 - 70% in 36 minutes. Acceleration from 0 - 50 km / h within 5.3 seconds.

Although belonging to the mini SUV segment, VinFast still equips the VF 3 with a large 10-inch touch screen entertainment screen and a gearshift lever behind the steering wheel similar to luxury cars.

The most economical electric car in Vietnam

VinFast has two prices for VF 3, including the battery rental version of 240 million VND and the battery-included version of 322 million VND. In case of battery rental, customers only have to pay a fee of 900,000 VND/month for a travel distance of less than 1,500 km/month, 1.2 - 2.5 million VND/month for a travel distance of 1,500 - 2,500 km/month.

The VF 3's power consumption is 83.3 Wh/km, surpassing the Wuling MiniEV (88 Wh/km), becoming the most energy-efficient electric car in Vietnam, even cheaper than the cost of driving a gasoline motorbike. With a cost of 3,858 VND per kilowatt hour at the VinFast charging station, the VF 3 will cost 32,137 VND for 100km of travel. Because VinFast is exempting battery charging for 1 year, from now until the end of July 2025, customers will not have to pay for charging to operate the car.

In the case of customers renting the lowest battery package, they pay 900,000 VND to travel a maximum of 1,500km per month, equivalent to 60,000 VND/100km. In total, VinFast VF 3 costs 92,137 VND/100km. According to many customers, VF 3 is suitable for urban travel so that "the sun does not reach the head, the feet do not touch the water" with a cheap price and low operating costs.

Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - General Director of VinFast Vietnam market - said that the company hopes that the VF 3 model will become a national electric car for everyone. The car has a genuine warranty of up to 7 years or 160,000km (whichever comes first), while the high-voltage battery has an 8-year warranty and unlimited km.
