In 2024, the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army was seriously and effectively implemented by the Military Service Councils at all levels in the province, with the right and sufficient military quotas and quality being improved. The process and methods of conducting the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army were organized in accordance with regulations from the stages of registration, review of actual strength, preliminary selection, health examination to the stage of issuing military service orders. The whole province has handed over 1,225 citizens to join the army, reaching 100% of the target, of which 1,002 were enlisted in the Army and 223 were enlisted in the People's Public Security service. Party committees, authorities, and organizations at all levels have paid attention to implementing the military rear policy well, thereby encouraging young people to confidently join the army.

At the conference, the Provincial Military Command - the standing agency of the Provincial Military Service Council launched the 2025 military recruitment competition. Accordingly, the province's expected military recruitment target in 2025 is 1,270 soldiers, an increase of 45 targets compared to 2024 (of which the target for military recruitment is 1,050 soldiers and the police is 220 soldiers). To continue improving the quality of the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2025, the Provincial Military Service Council requested Party committees and authorities at all levels to focus on leading and closely directing the military recruitment plan; carry out the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army in accordance with the legal process; organize the military recruitment quickly and neatly to ensure absolute safety before, during and after the military recruitment.

Speaking at the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that in order to effectively carry out the work of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, propaganda work must be the top priority. Therefore, the Provincial Military Command and localities need to step up coordination with mass media agencies to strengthen regular and more extensive propaganda work on the Law on Military Service, the Law on People's Public Security and the responsibility of young people to perform military service; at the same time, set examples of typical collectives, families and individuals who have performed military service well, taken care of implementing military rear policies... to create consensus and raise awareness of all classes of people about the duty to protect the Fatherland and ensure national defense and security.

Localities urgently complete the Military Service Councils at all levels; review the actual capacity, strictly manage the number of young people who pass the health examination and carry out the selection and calling process of citizens to join the army; especially pay attention to implementing the military rear policy to create a spiritual motivation to encourage families and young people to join the army to enthusiastically perform their military service.
